The label born out of two NID (National Institute of Design) graduates passion, is meant as a statement on the luxury of hand-made and the richness of Indian artisanship.

Working closely alongside a variety of skilled artisans and retailers from around the country (India), amrich strives to constantly upgrade skills and opportunities of livelihood on the one hand and create awareness and appreciation of our crafts using design as a bridge between the producers and the end consumers.

Amrich offers clothing for the woman who recognizes and values the understand appeal of true luxury; which comes from a confluence of fine natural fabrics, elegant cuts and precise finishes with an essence of tradition to create a distinct look.


RICHARD PANDAV, having graduated with a degree in Information Technology with Computer Applications, pursued his passion with a post graduation in the APPAREL DESIGN and MERCHANDISING faculty at the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN, Ahmedabad. He interned with one of India's leading fashion designers, Anamika khanna.

AMIT VIJAYA, a science graduate, turned to art ushering in digital graphic designing and printing in Kolkata. Creating promotional material for his clients in the textile and fashion fields, inspired him to using textiles as a creative output and led him to study TEXTILE DESIGN at the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN, Ahmedabad.

Working together, Amit & Richard discovered symmetry in thoughts and were selected to showcase their debut fashion week collection "Itajime Blue", at the Lakme Fashion Week in LIBERTY GEN NEXT category for spring summer 2007, while still studying at NID.

They have jointly been awarded with the Apex Award for BEST STUDENT DESIGNER OF THE YEAR 2007-2008; an award instituted by CMAI (Clothing Manufacturers Association of India).

They have also been bestowed upon with the award of 'PRIDE OF NID'  in the year 2008.

In 2016, they were invited by the INDIAN EMBASSY IN INDONESIA to participate in a discussion on 'SUSTAINABLE DESIGN" and showcase their spring/summer 2017 line at the JAKARTA FASHION WEEK.

Aside from a number of projects handled individually, along with their own label - amrich:, Amit & Richard have worked together to offer design intervention to various organizations ranging from the craft sector to design houses nationally and internationally.

The label amrich: was launched in India in March 2011 and is now available through various multi-designer stores across the country and online.
